Apex High School Student Services will be promoting 'College Awareness Week,'  Nov. 16 - 20 . This week will coincide with CFNC's College Application Week. College Awareness Week is a week to promote college awareness across all grade levels. Faculty and staff of Apex HS have been invited to participate in this week by encouraging questions from their students about college. Faculty will be encouraged to wear college clothing and promote their alma mater(s) and their favorite colleges and universities. Additional activites are also planned for this week, to foster awareness about college.
Also during this week, counselors will be available during the lunch periods in the computer lab (Rm. 109)  on Tues - Thurs (Nov. 17 - 19) to assist any seniors who have not filled out their college applications. Seniors will be able to fill out their college applications online through CNFC.org. Also, this week, all private colleges, community colleges and NC A&T and Elizabeth City State University will be waiving their college application fee (please see attached list). This is an opportunity for students who have either not filled out their applications yet, or who need help, to have assistance from the counselors. Senors should apply to the private schools who are waiving their application fee only if they are truly interested in attending those institutions.
